So I've been listening to a bunch of Black Kids recently. (In love with the 'The Twelves' remix of "Im not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance"....search for it. Awesome!!). They are O.K. Their current song doing the rounds is "Hurricane Jane" & the version below (imho) is the best one out there. Have a go!

Cool song, but not really to my tastes.

First heard Sam Sparro live from Miami on Tongy's Essential mix. Thought he did a great job on Black & Gold. Now that his Albums out (Its worth checking out), the vids all the rage.

Check the official one as well. Pretty with an interesting concept (I love the morphing step-dance towards the end).

Thats it. Im going back into hibernation!

If you're wondering what the song is, its called "Praan" & is available on Amazon & is composed by the same guy (Garry Sychman) who composed the Awesome score for BioShock {which you can download in all its mp3 glory here (direct link to the .zip file)}.

I dont know what others take from it, but for me its a guy going to 42 different places/countries and irrespective of the colour of their skins, religion or background they all react to him (atleast on video!) uniformly - with Cheer!

New Albums I'm digging!



	Can Anyone Who Has Heard This Music Really Be a Bad Person? by Kaki King I love this album even more than I love her!. Mostly instrumentals (dhh!) but all of em are so unique in themselves. Put in the cd and drive to the end of the earth!

	In The Ayer by Flo Rida Not a fan of rap music. Was given this by a friend and boy do I love it. Some really cool tracks (Roll,Low,Elevator,In the ayer...). The R&B & soul parts are very well done and apart from 2/3 tracks the album does not sound "run of the mill" or tacky. Get it!

	Sweet Apocopypse by Moby Im conflicted putting this on here. Last night is a collection Flashy vocals & sampling & an 'old school' hip-hop touch & possibly the bald mans best work since "Play". It has some funky songs (257,Alice,Im in love) but the album as a whole is incohesive and while it may have been huge 20 years ago, today its nothing more than a bunch of interesting and nostalgic samples. Moby's homage if you will. You say "kool" and move on.

Like This Like That by Various Artists Its not on Amzon as yet, which is a pity for this is probably the best compilation album since Gate Crasher back in Summer 07. 40+ tracks almost all scorchers. If this thing doesnt get ppl dancing, call an ambulance. You have dead bodies on hand!! ~~~(I cant find a reliable, online purchase source at the moment. Will add later, but it should not be too much of a problem to find it at a GOOD record store)

	Au-delà by Morcheeba Not the African singer, This is the British Pop band. I never really loved them before, but there is just something about 'Dive Deep' that makes it "likable". Its easy to listen with a lot of variation in compostions and melodies. Winner through & through.

	Beautiful Beat by Nada Surf I really really like this album. I cant explain why, I just do. Maybe I really am depressed or maybe the non-stop Hot Chip loving has screwed with my brain, but Nada Surf's latest just hits a chord with you, making you want to lift a lighter up in the air and humm along!

	Gilt Complex by Sons and Daughters Normally there is atleast one song in an album that I love. Have heard this 5 + times and I really like all the tracks, but nothing that you want to play on a loop. Still a really solid album that will do well.

	Ready For the Floor by Hot Chip Ill run out of superlatives so why bother?? Its gonna have to be a hell of a year to not have this in the top 5 albums list.

	One Thousand Tears Of A Tarantula by Dengue Fever These guys are gonna be the new 'it' thing with all the 'kool kids'. Why? Cause Im telling you so! :P.

	Suckers by Super Furry Animals Unashamedly 'Popy' & not as powerfull as their last two albums. Still there is alot going on for Hey Venus!
