Radomlessly Hottity!

 
Whilst im posting stuff;
 
So I've been listening to a bunch of Black Kids recently. (In love with the 'The Twelves' remix of "Im not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance"....search for it. Awesome!!). They are O.K. Their current song doing the rounds is "Hurricane Jane" & the version below (imho) is the best one out there. Have a go!

First heard Sam Sparro live from Miami on Tongy's Essential mix. Thought he did a great job on Black & Gold. Now that his Albums out (Its worth checking out), the vids all the rage.     
 
Check the official one as well. Pretty with an interesting concept (I love the morphing step-dance towards the end).
 
Thats it. Im going back into hibernation!

If you're wondering what the song is, its called "Praan" & is available on Amazon & is composed by the same guy (Garry Sychman) who composed the Awesome score for BioShock {which you can download in all its mp3 glory here (direct link to the .zip file)}.
 
I dont know what others take from it, but for me its a guy going to 42 different places/countries and irrespective of the colour of their skins, religion or background they all react to him (atleast on video!) uniformly - with Cheer!

Mordern-day Slaves

 
I came across this entry by Mihr Bose on the Beeb.
 
Its an interesting read on how kids from Africa are plucked at a young age and manipulated by 'agents' for their own personal benefit.
 
I know footballers have a reputation of being stupid, arrogant and over-paid pricks. But even if you take the top leagues of EU the # of African players who "make it" will be in the hundereds.
 
The stories that we do not hear are probably in the thousands.
 
 
Its a pity that FIFA has done next to nothing over the years.
 
Even Sepp Blatter aka "The man with an opinion on everything under the sky" has - to my knowledge - spoken out or done anything about it.
 
Lets hope once Platini takes over things change, for this is nothing if not mordern day slave trading.

Drastic Fanatic?

 
 
Its difficult given my routine these days to carry on with the music posts.
 
Since I tend to post 5+ pages every time it takes 2-3 hours of scouring the net, writing, editing and getting everything to work right.
 
That kind of effort is just hard to put in all the time when you're juggling multiple things.
 
Down below you'll fine a lot of spanking new tracks to keep everyone satisfied during exams and into spring break!

Clean cut with the right movement and tempo.
 
Not powerful enough to be an anthem, but if played loud enough with the right amount of bass & you'll be shaking 3 mins in! Wink (Although it does feel a little 'stretched' at 7+ long)
