Welll.....personally im looking forward, more to the Halo 2 for PC than part 3 for 360.....but that's just me!.

Sure its more of a gimmick, but s60 devices are quite powerful.
They wont be able to replace a pc all together, but with on board wi-fi, they really do a pretty good job with basic tasks.

I Feel that the new theme compliments most of the content posted on these pages, is markedly lighter than the previous one & after you get used to the change, should prove a more pleasant experience.
Previously there was a small narrow bar on the left & two broader bars towards the right.
I always felt that this was the optimal view as the largest amount of content was visible right at the top.
As the content grew though, the page started getting cluttered & according to feedback, overwhelming at times.
The new layout gives maximum space to the blogged items & hopefully you wont have to click on blog to view a pic properly - @least not every time. I still recommend that blog entries are viewed at the BLOG page. You can go to it by clicking on the 'BLOG' item in RED or by using the space tool.
Btw, there's some pretty amazing stuff in the new album. Please do check it out!
The one's on the right are Reuters International & Top News feeds, while the one's on the left are from BBC Sport (int ed) & Red Sox news from Boston.com.
I would have added Soccernet too, but if you've ever used an ESPN feed, you would know they suck big-time. Look for a Man U feed once the season starts!

Looks ok. Would be painfully slow, like Mystic River, but I tend to like Casey (Last Kiss, Oceans series) & the movie will surely give his rising star a further boost.
Ed Harris looks great imo. I was watching some really old movie of his the other day & its a shame his name doesnt crop up when u think; Great Actors.
Michelle Monaghan looks a lot like Anne Hatteway---or is it just me??. Hmmm...
Anyways, the movie comes out in November & is sure to be considered for lots of awards.

Well, the time that im writing these words, the views are 1100+.
I know that does sound too impressive, but I dont link these pages out much so, getting 100+ views a month means im probably doing something right.

Hell!, most of the big names were missing, they were beaten 2-0 by Mexico & the way Argentina had been playing, they were clear underdogs for the final.
But being Brazil, they have won it 3-0.
To rub it in, the second goal was an OG by Robery Ayala. The Argentinian captain & a veteran of 115 caps!.
It may not be a fair result if you look at the entire tournament & Argentina would be extra bitter as it turned out to be a repeat of the last C-A final, but you have to admit to the utter dominance of International football by Brazil.
They win even when a C team is playing subpar!.
Dunga's comments at the end were great.
to paraphrase: "I have nothing to say to the ppl who criticized us. Victory speaks for itself.
All my players are winners as they are from poor backgrounds with no resources & still have worked hard to acheive the success today.".

A few things..First off,
Ill avoid a separate post since this is speculation really; The Dark Knight will supposedly have alot of villains.
We already know that the main villain is going to be Joker & that Aaron Eckhart is enacting Two-Face (Harvey Dent for those unfamiliar).
We already got glimpses of Scarecrow, Ras, Falcone & Gamble in pt1 and I've been reading persistent rumors that there is going to be a presence of the Riddler.
The internets is always rife with rumors and most of this is probably that.
Even though Spidey3 was bemoaned for having 'too much going on', Its not alien to a single issue of BM to have a lot of baddies, especially if there is an Arkham scene as most of these guys are locked up there anyway's.
Gamble is the crooked cop and he along with Zaz, Ras, Falcone & to some extent Scarecrow & Riddler are side characters. (i.e the plot is not focused on them).
Joker & Two-Face on the other hand have always chewed up the scenery & with all the emotion involved, it would be stupid (IMHO) to sideline their stories with other shenanigans.
Speculating is always fun, so here goes. I think Joker would be introduced as the menace in Gotham. They will also focus on Harvey dent the DA who is running for office. Towards the end they will show 'the courtroom scene' (that's where he originally gets scarred). They could have some scenes of the (emotional) trauma he goes through & will probably set it up for the third installment.
If Harvey is one of the focal characters, then we will probably see Gary Oldman get a good amount of screentime. - Always a good thing!.
Scarecrow was a character I always loved/dreaded due to the mental state & mystery that surrounded him. You never knew if he would go berserk or break down crying. (I remember a few times when he surrendered himself & went back to Arkham).
However its done, the man at the helm = Chris Nolan. We need not worry :).

I was talking to a friend the other day & he brought up, how Tim Burton would change the batman today & how he would change Nolan's work.
My only response was "He would make it weird(er)!".
In fairness to Burton though, the original BM was released in '89.
A totally different time.....technology, politics, thought process of the ppl, studios took less risks, DC was in a much different shape than it is today etc etc.
What I remember from that movie is:
Michael Keaton was the second gayest/stupidest choice for Batman since Val Kilmer........Oh wait. Make that 3rd. I forgot that George Clooney donned the cape as well.
But really, he looked confused and out of place in most of the movie. The scenes where he's having flashbacks, it seemed he'll yell any second "KUTTTAY!!!"(<- literal translation = Dog, but screamed in a very cheesy way. Whilst grimacing!).
Jack Nicholson gave his best performance as the Joker. Words cant do that performance justice, so go see it again.
What Burton did was, he told the Joker story as the guy who is a random nut who dresses up like a clown & goes around killing people.
According to the movie when Bruce was young, Joker killed his parents while mugging them outside a restraint.
Another school of thought on this matter is that Joker was originally a goon that went by the Handle "The Red Hood".
Whilst trying to rob Ace Chemicals, Red Hood escapes Batman in a van full of chemicals where he encounters an accident which changes the color of his skin, hair and leads to (further) eccentric behavior. This theory though has been debunked in the recent issue of
BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL - Issue #7
where they have introduced a new story Arc.
Another theory is that, Joker -(interestingly, he is the only character - as far as my knowledge - that has never been given a name)- does comedy at local clubs.(If I remember correctly, his act was known as "THE KILLING JOKE") (<-Also the name of the issue where the Joker character was introduced in the comics. I wanna say it was BATMAN #1, but im not really sure ! :s).
He has a wife & a kid and has trouble at home. He gets involved with the wrong people and has to do a JOB in order to repay his debts.
This is ofcourse where Batman comes in and mucks everything up. Resulting in the killing of Joker's family (His son was already dead, but his wife was murdered brutally infront of him)
& the scarring on his face.
It is unclear whether the ppl who hired him inflicted the scars, or if Joker could not bear the trauma he suffered & mutilated himself.
I don?t remember the series/issue where this happened, so take it for what its worth.
How will Nolan introduce Joker?
We will just have to see, but if the pics i posted a while back are any indication, I think he will go with something different.
The deep scarring around the lips & enforced stitches would suggest something sinister & probably means a horrible accident or sinister behavior that leads to his psychopathic behavior.
Alas, all im doing is speculating.......Cause im a BM Nutt, cause its fun & because - Frankly I cant wait till summer of 08!.
On to topics a tad more serious and interesting. (not everyone who reads this as into BM as me-----as I was reminded by the last BM/Joker post that I did!).
William Saletan wrote this great piece for Slate/WSJ called "BRAVE OLD WORLD" (audio), about "parthenogenesis". (Wiki).
In layman's terms, its fertilization of an embryo or seed without the help of a Male(!).
Parthenogenesis has been going on in nature since ages but due to the nature of chromosomes, it was never known to have occurred in mammals.
Recently though, female sharks have reproduced whilst secluded in tanks. aka Virgin Births.
What does this mean?
Theoretically it can lead to opposite sexes being redundant in child procreation...in simpler terms, couples of the same sex can make a baby that has the same DNA & bio code as the "couple".
Another result of research could be figuring out ways to control "imprinting" amongst mammals. What this would mean is that mammals & -im guessing, - more importantly the ones facing detention, would be made to reproduce naturally....instead of getting cloned.
Its a fascinating read and the results 'could' change the way conventional wisdom works.
Slate also ran a piece called "Beware of the Diet" (audio) on the long term effects of dieting on the human body.(is the weight loss sustainable & the effect on the metabolic behavior of the stomach).
MetroBlogging Lahore (LMB) has a post on the newly approved Rapid Mass Transit (LRMT) Rail.
 The foundations are to be laid in September of 07 & the above pictured Green Line, should be the first to get ready by 2011.
I sincerely hope that this project actually does get completed. As reported, they already have mapped the locations and plan to use both underground and elevated methods.
I guess if they can execute a MRT in an ancient city like Delhi, Lahore should not be impossible.
Hopefully this project does come to fruition and doesn't end up being a money-grabbing exercise!.

Nah. I haven't gone all Nostalgic again. (Although "One' is still one (!) of Metallica's finest songs).
Im refering to the newest sensation around the globe.
Im talking about the French duo of Gaspard Augé & Xavier de Rosnay.(MySpace)
They have been around for a while, remixing everyone from Britney to FatBoySlim to Daft Punk themselves, but they really hit the big's in 03 with their reworking of Simian's "We Are Your Friends" (Not one of my frav songs, but the vid was pretty kool. You should find a link a bit further down).
The boys started out in bad cover bands of Metallica & Nirvana.
They succeed due to their unpredictable style. The samples are scratched,chopped & distorted to such an extent that it sounds like a mistake. But most of the 'genius' so far have been mistakes.
I however, not for a min, am convinced that these boys will revolutionize the genre. Sure they are unconventional & break away from norms, but their basic style is not unique. Ricardo Villalobos and Ellen Allien are just two examples you can look at. (Although Ricardo is more Elctro-Grunge/House with some deep trance, while the Frenchmen have more of a 80's punk & a light/vocal feel to it).
Justice has a new album out "†" (Cross) & I've been listening to it for around 10 days. (If you've met me recently, you've probably gotten sick of D.A.N.C.E. already! :P)
Its made up of 11 tracks:
Cheeky, classy & already a sensation, despite the poor sequencing of the tracks, † will already be in peoples "Best of 07" lists, but at the end it feels like a sensation-for the sake of-sensation.
They are an evolution to the DP sound, but unlike Homework or Discovery, I doubt † will invoke the same feelings 5-10 years on. The tracks lack bass & even though they might seem radicals, you will notice a similar pattern in most of their tracks.
Having said that though, its only their first album & im sure they will grow. Already they are brilliant @ Mashing & they work great with the artists in the Ed Bangers Records (My Space)Stable.(BusyP,Mehdi,Flash,Uffie,Justice,Feadz) If you can get a chance, watch em live. Im sure they rock the houZe!.

7/10/2007 OleHere it is, United's Home-Kit for the 07-08 season.
 It reminds me of the 2002-03 kit (the first year with Nike I think).
All Red, hopfully it has better material than the previous one.
I liked the retro looking logo on the last years shirt, they had it due to the deal with AIG(shirt was re-designed for 1 year). This edition will(should) last the normal 2 years for the home kit.
The Green for the gk's was effing awsome imo & pretty popular. The new blue is like the away kit, should be an intresting clash away from OT.

The 3 signings so far have been unviled. I dunno about the 2 boys from Portugal, but Hargreves is the one with the big ? on his head.
a) He's broken his leg twice in a year.
b) 17 Mill-------Barca got Henry for 16.5----so, is Owen H really worth the money?
c) Do we really need him?! (+ him = 5 midfielders!, how will he be accomadated??)
Wouldnt that money have been better used for a quality striker??
d) He played in the Bundesliga a very diff league than EPL. Will he be able to make the transition?

Thats a saga of Epic propotions & I dont even know where to begin!.
What I did think was "huh?!".
Sure he's a quality player, but how will he fit into the United system? He plays so much like Rooney. (Forward, but in a deep hole behind the winger/strikers).
I thought we would have been better off with a out & out striker (preadator) like RVN.
Dissappointing that we did not go for David Villa of Valencia.
No one has been sold so far. (3 reserves let go though).
There have been rumours about Hienze for months. Gabi was player of the season in his first, but last year he was injuired for most & Evra was solid as the LB. SAF should keep him IMO, he is still a good player & rotation would be good in what is a lonnnng season.But if he sold, Gl & thnx for the memories ;).
I read an 'Interview' by him recently in some Portugese magazine saying he will sit down with SAF to discuss his future after the Copa America. Hopefully he doesnt turn out to be a Japp Stam!.
Alan Smith is another player that I think will go. You cant question his commitment, but like K Richidson, he does not have enough quality to wear a Utd shirt. Everyone from Toons to Citeh (he has a better chance of getting struck by lightning than play for ManC though!)....would que up for him.
Saha too will go imo - if he gets a good enough offer for him. Do it I say, provided another quality striker is signed.

Parma have made a bid for Rossi. He was out there on loan if you remember.
Dont think it will be accepted, having said that, I doubt he will be around for a very long time.
He hasnt got a lot of opp's (he dint get any playing time when on loan @ Newcastle + the lil chances he has got) but still does have 3 goals for UTD first team 50+ for the reserves.
Best thing would be to give him some opp's as a sub & in fringe/easy games. Better yet!, farm him out to Keano @ Sunderland or to Brucey @ Brirmingham.
Hopefully Sun-ji remains fit enough to play regularly. He's been a vital cog & is a great sub to have for someone like Giggsy of Christiano. + he has been brilliant the few times that he has played.
Oh btw, anyone seen the new Chelsea shirt!?!?. WTF is up with THAT?. It looks like a Hazzard sign + wouldnt it clash with the referee shirts (ones for the incliment weather) + the linesmen flags??.

). Wanted to go for something more summery. Would have preferred something pink or orange, but the change was proving to be too drastic as most of the content has been optimized for darker color schemes and all the fonts/styles were coming out....well, f**cked really.
