Its an interesting read on how kids from Africa are plucked at a young age and manipulated by 'agents' for their own personal benefit.
I know footballers have a reputation of being stupid, arrogant and over-paid pricks. But even if you take the top leagues of EU the # of African players who "make it" will be in the hundereds.
The stories that we do not hear are probably in the thousands.
Its a pity that FIFA has done next to nothing over the years.
Even Sepp Blatter aka "The man with an opinion on everything under the sky" has - to my knowledge - spoken out or done anything about it.

Since I tend to post 5+ pages every time it takes 2-3 hours of scouring the net, writing, editing and getting everything to work right.

The first Hulk movie was BAD. The cgi in this one looks pretty damn horrible as well, but Ed Norton is an amazing actor and looks great over here + every chance we get to check out 'Stevens Spawn' (Liv Tyler) is a good thing! :P

The Appeal - John GrishamBeen busy. Have not had time to do much, but I did manage to read the newest Grisham novel in less than a week. (On average I read less than half an hour. Its only 600 pages).
In short: Intriguing, Suspenseful, Educating & Thought-provoking.
Conflicting human emotions and a look at the faults of democracy and the lenghts humans will go to screw one another.
I'd reccomend it to anyone for a once-over but not as the book. The simple reason being that it failed to grip me.
Maybe I was being unfair & did not want to belive that corruption took place at such high levels. I wanted the good guys to win (they dont)......And I was just plain tierd.
But facts are facts.
It maybe a welcome return to courtroom drama (the last such novel was "The Broker"), but if you go in expecting heights of "The Partner" or "The Firm", you will sorely be dissapointed!.

Had a fairly busy week.
First off; about my last post, I do realise it's incomplete.
There should have been atleast 5 pages more there with all the metadata & tags.
The first time 'divshare' messed up the html, not only that, it ate-up more than half of the entry when I tried to re-edit.
I spent more than an hour writing the 5+ pages all over again. Just as I was about to add the tags, a power surge and my desktop was being restarted!. FUBAR!! :@. (Since I was working in IE, none of the Edit was saved).
Could not find the time, paitence or stomach to go through the whole ordeal again. Sorry, but you'll just have to be happy with what you get :}. (The tracks still total 20+).
Most of the music was on the older side, but you have to admit it was good stuff for the most part. I had not heard some of it, so it would be a big surprise if everybody else has!.
I got the new Grisham book.
I have each and everyone of his books in hardcover & read some multiple times. Usually his latest has been pre-ordered a month before release.
'The Appeal' however is something I had no clue about. I have not read the reviews. I have not read the preface, Hell! I did not even remember the name until the second chapter! Sounds wierd, but all this has been really working well so far as 1/5th in the book has been brilliant.
Character development has been brilliant as always. The focals at the opposite end of the spectrum, the phycie, the total unpridicability of the charecters keeps you hooked. You get an idea of where the story is heading, but how it gets there is the fun of it.
I should (time permitting) be able to get through it come next week. Will give thoughts then.
Got my copy of Goldfrapp's 'Seventh Tree' in the mail on tuesday. I've just had one short listen & so far A&E (a track i've already heard a trillion times), Road to Somewhere & Little Bird come across as obvious hits.
Thats not to say the album is not good - I've only heard it once - but its certainly not for everyone. If you've got into Goldfrapp because it seeme to be the new "Hippsters Choice" or due to one of the remixes, you will most likely end up dissappointed.
The music is quite 'slow' & more reliant on the melodies with heavy emphasis on the acoustic and synths used in ways that almost give it a lounge/chill effect.
Gl to everyone busy in/gearing for examinations. Hope you do well (Y) :).
